To start the server, you will need to press this button:
Once this button is pressed, it should light up and change its colour to green:
Once this has happened, the screen on the shelf above should show you the Boot-up sequence.
Additional Checks:
Once the above has started, there are a few additional checks that need to be made.
Beside the server, there will be a "UPS". This is effectively a battery that allows the server to stay active for a short while even after a power outage.
The UPS should look like this:
If there are any errors or major differences to this (EG: The battery symbol not showing as full), be sure to let us know.
The UPS will automatically turn back on upon receiving power. If it still does not show anything on the screen despite the rest of the school having power, there is a power button directly above the screen.
Finally, above all of this in a separate cabinet will be the "Switches".
The switches will look like this:
Please can you ensure that the lights at the bottom are flashing green (as in the image).
If there are no lights, let us know.
Once all of these steps have been completed and the monitor above the server shows a normal Windows Login page,
Please contact us on: 01935 319700 and we can then connect and finish the start-up and any other steps that need completing.
