Potential Issues: .xml document not opening in the correct format
Should you be attempting to open an XML document as a Word or excel document and it keeps opening as a large block of text, refer to the following sections depending on your desired file type.
Opening Word Documents
- Open Word from the start menu
- Navigate to the Open tab on the left of the screen:
- Click browse and find the file you're looking for in File Explorer:
- Double click the file and it should open correctly in Word
Opening Excel Documents
- Open Word from the start menu
