Signing into Trelson:
Please navigate to https://assessment.trelson.com and select 'I'm A Teacher' from the menu.

You'll now need to click Sign in with Google which will take you to a new page. Please enter your school email address and click Next

You'll be asked to enter your email address again to authenticate your account into the application. Click Next. The password you'll be asked to enter will be the password you use for your school account.

Creating an Exam Assignment:Once logged into Trelson, click + CREATE at the top left of the screen. Then click on Assignment > New

Please give the name of your assignment a naming keeping with the naming convention that the school users for naming assignments. The assignment will need a start and deadline date applied to it. We recommend allowing the deadline extra capacity to allow for fire bells or delays in the exam. Invigilators should still be drawing exams to an end so this shouldn't cause an issue with students having 'bonus' extra time etc.
The assignment will conclude once the deadline time has been reached and any documents the students are typing will be submitted at the time the deadline is reached.

You may wish to add a PIN to an assignment - this is not a required field so can be left to the exam creator to decide. Students will need to know the PIN so they can enter the assignment.
Please enable the Accessibility features you require for your assignment.
Click CREATE at the bottom of the screen to create the assignment

Adding Students, Teachers & Resources an Exam Assignment:
To add a student(s) to the Assignment, click on the ADD STUDENTS button and then select the option Add user as a student.

You'll be able to search for the student by either entering their name (Joe Bloggs) or their email address (24BloggsJoe@school.com). Click ADD. At present you can only add one student at a time.
NOTE: The search function will only work against users already added to an assignment.

You may setup an Exam that you want another member of staff (who has access to Trelson) to administer on the platform, you can do this on the TEACHER tab using the same process above as adding a student.

By default, every Assignment will have Writing space added to it, which can be removed using the trash can icon. To add alternative Trelson modules, click ADD MODULE and select the relevant option.

To add Resources to an exam, click ADD RESOURCE. To add a PDF file (an Exam question paper as an example) please select the Upload file from Drive

You'll now have to click ADD on the next window.

There are two option within the next screen. You can either choose to upload a PDF file from within your linked Google Drive, or you can select the Upload option to upload a PDF from your device. Once your have selected the file(s) you require, click Upload.

The convert the PDF so it's enabled for the text to speech function, you must tick the box for Convert to PDF with text to speech support. Click ADD to proceed.

Accessing Submitted / Completed Assignments:
You can access the submitted / completed assignments by clicking on the relevant exam from the Assignment list

Select the Open in Docs icon on the relevant students row. This will open the submitted exam paper as an online Google Doc.

From within the open Google Doc, select the Printer icon and then select the relevant print you want to print to.
